Undetectable AI

Bypass Grammarly Detection

Grammarly is on millions of laptops as a writing assistant, and it now offers an AI detector as well. There's a catch worth knowing: some of Grammarly's own rewrite suggestions can make text read more like AI. Here's how to use Grammarly and Hue Write together without one undoing the other.

Detector Profile: Grammarly

  • Primary TargetAI text in everyday documents and assignments
  • Detection DifficultyMedium
  • Used ByStudents, professionals and teachers who use Grammarly

Two different features: AI detection and Authorship

Grammarly's AI detector estimates what share of a text resembles AI-generated writing, the same kind of check other detectors offer. Grammarly Authorship is something else. It records how a document was put together, showing which parts were typed, pasted or generated with AI, and lets the writer share that record with a teacher or reviewer.

Authorship is a history of the writing process, not a judgment about the text, so no rewriting tool changes it. Hue Write works on the text itself, which is what Grammarly's AI detector, and every other detector, reads.

Don't let full-sentence rewrites undo your work

Grammarly's spelling and punctuation fixes are harmless. Its generative suggestions, the ones that rewrite whole sentences for clarity or tone, tend to smooth writing back toward the even, predictable style detectors associate with AI. Accept a batch of those after humanizing and you can end up where you started.

  • After humanizing, accept Grammarly's spelling and punctuation corrections and skip its full-sentence rewrites.
  • In Hue Write's Ultra Mode settings, the Default final pass already fixes spelling and punctuation while keeping every humanized phrase.
  • If you like Grammarly's tone suggestions, use them before humanizing, not after.

Questions about Grammarly

Can Grammarly tell that text was humanized?

Grammarly's AI detector reads the text, just like other detectors. Authorship is different: it records how the document was written. If you're asked to share an Authorship report, be honest about the tools you used.

Why did my score get worse after I accepted Grammarly's suggestions?

Full-sentence rewrites from AI writing assistants tend to produce the uniform phrasing detectors look for. Once your text has been humanized, stick to spelling, grammar and punctuation corrections.
